wishes to use the keyswitch for Relocking but not for Bypass or for Bypass but not for relocking,
remove only the wire to the respective control board input.
5.2 LED’s
The iMXD includes a Red and Green LED. As factory set, these lights monitor and display the
operation of the iMXD.
• The Green LED is on when the door is in the secure condition and the Magnalock is reporting
secure
• Green and Red are on together when the door is in the release delay period. The logic here
is that Red shows “trouble” in that the door is about to release but Green always shows
whenever it is still secure
• Red is on alone when the door has been released and is awaiting relocking
• Both LED’s are off in the absence of power or during Bypass. Bypass is not seen as a
“trouble” condition so the Red LED is off but since the Magnalock is released, the Green LED
is also off.
6. WIRING
FIG. 5: CONTROL BOARD SHOWING FACTORY CONNECTIONS
All wiring to the iMXD is made to its control board (see Figure 5). The only mandatory
connections are to input DC power to the board (terminals + and -). Note that the current
drawn by the iMXD depends on the state and corresponds to the following table:
Voltage When Door is Locked When Door is released
12V 340 mA drawn 50 mA drawn
24V 220 mA drawn 50 mA drawn
The connection of power is important because of building code requirements and it is covered in
detail in the next section (the connection procedure depends on which Securitron power supply
you are using). All other connections to the board are optional and they are covered in Section
4.
